Evie Gym Set

Colours; Navy, Blue and white

All photos feature the Navy Set

I am always looking for versatile clothing I can use every day as well as on my trips and sportswear is perfect for that. Gym and Tonic sent me the Navy set from their new Eviecollection to try and review, although the set was gifted all opinions in this blog are my own.

First Impressions

Gym and Tonic's parcel arrived quickly especially considering the current mail strikes, each item from the set was packaged separately in a zip-locked bag. I was

very surprised at the thick, high-quality material, especially compared with some of my other 'branded' gym sets.

First Try On

Now I know you don't get the full picture the first time you try on a gym set but let me tell you I was impressed. Let's start with the leggings... a very traditional design with full-length trousers and a thick high-waisted belt is soooo comfortable, doesn't roll up and most importantly squat proof!

Now, the top is not my usual style, especially for workouts but I was converted the second I tried it on. Flattering, comfortable and best of all... padded so you don't have to wear a bra underneath!

Putting it to the test

Gym and Tonic Evie Collection Review, Travel Blog, Norfolk

I wear my gym clothes for much more than just the gym. Hiking, airports, ice skating and gymnastics are just some of the things I need my gym clothes to be suitable for so they need to be high-quality, versatile items. Throughout all of my time wearing the set I was comfortable, supported and felt confident.

The only thing I didn't like was wearing the top for a hard gym session but that's just a personal preference of not liking long sleeves for the gym. For hiking and ice skating this top is perfect and will 100% be making more appearances.

Pros and Cons

Cons

There really are not many cons at all so I'll start with those and it is all really down to personal preference again. If you like something with more chest coverage you might want to look at their other collections like their Esther Tops but with the product itself, I really have no complaints! I will keep you all updated if I have any issues with wear and tear when using it more but with the quality of the material, I don't foresee any issues.

PROS

What is not to love?! Thick, ribbed high-quality set, suitable as a set or styled individually. The gym, airport outfits, hiking... the versatility is amazing. The straps do not dig in, the leggings are a flattering high-waisted design that is squat-proof and doesn't slip down. The top has a built-in bra so you don't have to faff around with another layer.

The Final Score

This should be your next go-to gym set for 2023!
