Imagine a weekend where you can swap your hiking boots for a spa robe and back again in a heartbeat, join me on a weekend Lake District getaway where I combine an indulgent spa with the outdoor adventures that this national park has to offer.
Hotel:
For myself staying in a hotel rather than camping like usual instantly makes a stay feel like a luxury but if you want to take it one step further why not stay in a spa hotel?
Beech Hill Hotel and Spa
Newby Bridge, Road, Windermere LA23 3LR / first impression
I have visited this hotel twice this year and have had an overall excellent experience, the hotel was clean and well-kept, the staff were pleasant and the views over the lake were a lovely bonus. I will say after our first visit we raised a few concerns regarding what seemed to be a lack of staff which led to some slow service at times and be aware the Wi-Fi doesn’t reach all the rooms so if you are planning to work whilst you are there you may want to highlight on booking you need a room with Wi-Fi.
Lake-view rooms with continental and cooked breakfast options
Restaurant with Lunch/Afternoon Tea/Dinner menus
Spa - Indoor Pool, Steam Room, Sauna, Two Outdoor Hot Tubs with a Lake View, and Treatment Options.
Ashness Bridge
There are thousands of walks in the lakes to get stuck into but if you're looking for picturesque locations then Ashness Bridge is probably one of the most photogenic places, especially in the autumn colours.
Anyone who loves to travel knows how important it is to have the perfect bag to carry all of your essentials. That's where the Katmandu duffel bag comes in! After trialling it myself I can confidently say that it's one of the best bags.
One of the standout features of this bag is just how spacious it is. You can easily fit all of your clothes, shoes, and toiletries inside without worrying about running out of room. But don't let its size fool you – this bag is also incredibly sturdy and with different handle options, you can carry it in a way that's most comfortable for you. Finally, this bag is just incredibly practical. It's easy to pack and unpack, and the different compartments make it easy to stay organized while on the go. Overall, I would highly recommend the Katmandu duffel bag to anyone looking for a new duffel bag.
The Lake District; where luxury meets the great outdoors. Check out the hotel, grab that duffel bag and start your adventure. I’d love to hear about your travels so be sure to comment and let me know your recommendations.
